LATEST UPDATE

SATURDAY JUNE 8

The day was spent filling every crack & crevice with concrete sealer to prep the walls prior to painting. It's a pain to apply the gooey substance by hand but will be worth it in the long run.

FRIDAY JUNE 7

After several days of preparation Greg & Mike begin working on this incredible building. It all starts with pressure washing all 4 sides and over 20,000sqft (combined) of concrete wall space inch by inch.

ORIGINAL CONCEPT

NOTE: COLORS & IMAGES NOT TRUE

The following digital designs are for display purposes only and do not represent the project's true artwork or palette.

WEST WALL

WEST WALL CONCEPT

Paint the south wall a darker shade than the rest of the building. Create a bold contrast between the wall and the bright STORAGE text. Add shading under the letters to create a 3D illusion. Add logo to the front center (extended) section. Paint giant rooster mural on the right (set back) side section. Paint ocean and foliage to give visual depth. Add "walking tour" sign post with qr code/link to website with voice recording of building history. This would be a nice area to clean up and have professionally landscaped. Add benches and lights to create a great background for photos.

NORTH WALL

SUNSET CONCEPT

Replicate the mural done at Boynton Beach. This concept is an efficient method to create a super size piece of art that is visually stunning from any distance or angle without taking away from the original beauty of the building.

EAST WALL

CIGAR BOX CONCEPT

The highlight wall facing the entrance to the office. Sets the tone for the rest of the murals. Intricately detailed graphics surround a main bold text (key west) with a strong 3D shading effect. This concept represents the history of the building in a beautiful manner that is appealing to local residents and international tourists.

SOUTH WALL

BIG CIGAR CONCEPT

Could this be the world's largest cigar painting? It will at least have all the local cigar shop owners telling people to come see it. Ideally the "storage" sign would go on the extended (south) end of the wall. If that is too big the sign could be reduced and moved to the upper deck in front of the cigar. Cigar smoke could replace that area as if it was eminating from the cigar. Lights could be added to the upper deck (facing the cigar mural) and make it appear as if the cigar was lit at night.
